How hard do you think it is to defend yourself if everyone thinks you used steroids?
March 10th, 2010 | by admin |Assuming that you didn’t use any steroids, and your reach record numbers, and all of a sudden people think your using steroids.
What would you say?
It would be pretty hard to defend yourself in this day and age against an acquisition such as this. With so much of it happening in so many sports you would automatically be guilty of using them even if you didn’t. To prove it would take an act of GOD.

Use your anger towards them and funnel it into football, or whatever sport.
give them something to talk about! as long as its not true, just turn your back on the rumors.

well if you didn’t, just stick to your story that you did not use steroids. if you don’t break from these attacks, people will get bored and move on to something else.
and well.. if you did, better to admit it now than later. if you lie about it, you will become a LYING steroid user. if you tell the truth, at least you’ll be an honest one

Throw a fit, shout various obscenities, and then ask, "Do I look like Barry Bonds to you?"

Well first of all I would have talked to Mitchell when he asked me to. I would not have sought council before the list came out. I would not have taken a month to deny the allegations. If I knew I had never done anything wrong then I would dare someone to prove other wise. I would also agree to take a lie detector and or blood and hair samples . You don’t need a lawyer (since you are not in court or on the stand) to advise you on what to say.
After all of that if people don’t believe you then they were never going to in the first place.
I don’t see any of the guys that have been implicated doing this….. and I know why.

I believe one of the most difficult things to do is to prove a negative — and the media coverage of all of this steroid use in various sports has really been boiling over these days. I think it’s important to remember that the use of various steroids and other performance-enhancing therapies have been going on for a very long time and the rules against the use of these chemicals have not kept up with their use in the different sports. Consequently, there are players who drove records through the roof (presumably through their use of whatever combinations of chemicals, hormones, etc.) Now that the sports authorities have decided to clamp down on the abusive use of substances, it will be extremely difficult to get sports ‘clean’ again. Frankly, I think the biggest problems with all of this is that the players who have felt the need to use any means to improve their game are going to pay a huge price for getting caught up in this ‘drug’ use. It will manifest itself in health problems for many of them — I really believe they’ve put themselves at risk for some horrible illnesses. The huge money contracts have been such a strong incentive for people to do some pretty risky things to enhance their performance and thus their marketability. Personally, I would work hard to naturally be my best and I wouldn’t give in to the pressure to take those injections! If I was still able to break records and be the best, I would simply tell the truth and hope for the best…
