Hmm, interesting association. There are so many thing which affect recovery, such as timing & nutrient content of post workout meal and everything else you eat throughout the day. 5 pounds of any protein source is out of control. The max protein anyone needs is 2grams per Kilogram or around 1g per pound. You get protein from grains, vegetables & dairy. A 200# person could consume 200grams of protein but can get at least 30g from other foods 170g from animal is 24oz (7g/oz) That is 1 1/2 pounds

oh nevermind, Omega 9 is a non-essential fatty acid.

So that could be one reason why Jay Cutler and so many other bodybuilders eat a lot of fish, do you think DHA could help with the uptake of amino acids into the muscle cells/fibers and allow for faster recovery time? This is amazing to me. :D

I’m interested in Omegas for fitness [asthetics mostly] … Jay Cutler, Mr Olympia [for like 8 or 9 times in a row], ate or maybe still eats [or so he says] about 5 pounds of fish a day! You’re amazingly smart and your boyfriend or husband is so lucky … but what about omega 9? ’cause I take Omega’s 3,6,9 in a convenient capsule. And I’m surprised you didn’t mention Omega 9, is it synthetic? Are supplements good? If you dont have time to answer this that’s okay because I’m “Googling” it. lol
