can we start body building at the age of 13 or not?

You can, but you should do it sensibly get the advice of a professional in the industry, it can have effects like stunted growth, weaker muscles etc etc if you over do it.

It is probably best to just work out and stay healthy for a few years until your body has developed properly and then start body building.

yes but it puts a lot of strain on our muscles and when your older they wont be very strong and you will be very injury prone, so i suggest not

    yes you can
    but i would advise lightly
dont go over the top until your arms are breaking and things like that.
you have to think about what it will be like when your older.
like i am 14 and i am going to the gym and during that i will do alot more fitness than weight training.

    champ,
you can start bodybuilding at any age, its just the younger you start, the more prone to damaging your growth plates, tendons etc you become in the future. Especially through lifting heavy weights at a young age you can stunt your growth.

i would advise to start bodybuilding seriousely at the age of between 16 – 18 yrs old.

because you are 13, which is a tad young to start weight training, the best thing you could do that will not stunt your growth at all is by doing exercises that use only your body weight as resistance. these include push ups, chinups, dips etc. body weight exercises will NOT stunt your growth or damage your growth plates and will have amazing benefits on your physique, not to mention the explosion of growth you will get when you do start lifting weights.

Needless to say you will NOT be able to put on mass at the age of 13 as your metabolism is probably racing faster than the speed of sound. Through doing exercises that involve only body weight, you will also become very cut up, and that is what the girls love.

Porfessional bodybuilder Orville Burke, who had one of the widest backs in history, said that he attributed much of his width to wide arm chin ups which he did regularly when growing up before he’d even begun bodybuilding.

so champ, probably stay away from the weights for now and stick to the bodyweight exercises, then when you get to the weights, you will have a solid foundation and be able to turn out a fabulous physique

    good luck
